About the artist
"I’m Blake, 22-years-old and I’ve been making art since I was about 15. I was born in New Zealand and moved to the UK ten years ago, and over that time I’ve built a strong connection with the local area.
"I studied art at Sandon High School and later graphic design at Chelmsford College, which helped shape the way I approach creativity and visual ideas.
"For me, art is a way to translate experiences and influences into something visual. Inspiration comes from everywhere: the outdoors, exploring new places, design, music, and artists that inspire me. All of these things feed back into my work.
"My art brings together these influences to reflect both my experiences and the world around me."
