Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some of the images and icons on our site do not display appropriate alt-text. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content).

    • We will add appropriate text alternatives to our images when we upload new images and fix images we find in our area reviews and manual audits.

    • We will add appropriate text alternatives to our icons as part of our next release.

  • Our carousels do not work correctly with a keyboard and navigation can get stuck. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.1.2 (no keyboard trap).

    • We will amend the controls for our carousels as part of our next release to address this issue.

  • We do not have a "skip to main content" button to bypass repeated page content. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.1 (bypass blocks).

    • We will add this feature to the website as part of our next release to address this issue.

  • Our online forms do not display the correct errors or guidance when a mandatory field is missed. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 3.3.1 (error identification).

    • We expect this to work and are actively investigating why this is not working correctly. When we identify the issue, we will implement and release a fix.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We actively monitor the accessibility of our website using a variety of automated online tools. We also conduct manual audits of our website once per year.

When we identify issues, we create fixes for these issues and release them within a month of a fix being created.
