We’re delighted to host the Essex Finds Liaison Officer’s Saturday Finds Surgeries here at the Museum of Chelmsford!

If you’ve found an archaeological object while walking, gardening, or detecting, bring it along for expert advice and recording through the British Museum’s Portable Antiquities Scheme.

Each 15-minute appointment must be booked in advance via the Essex FLO’s online booking system. Please bring items bagged separately and labelled with find locations (six-figure National Grid Reference or what3words).

Surgeries take place upstairs in the Wells Suite.
